Principal Dentist – Dr Geraint Buse BDS (Hons)

Geraint was born and raised in Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, Anglesey. He graduated in 2005 from Liverpool University with a BDS with honours degree with a Distinction in Restorative Dentistry. He has continued to build his experience and skills working for 5 years as an associate, and completing Vocational Training and an Educational Clinical Attachment at the Oral Surgery Department at a practice in Bangor, Gwynedd. In 2010, he successfully completed the year-long Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. He opened Marquess Dental in January 2011, just a few yards from his old primary school. He is a Full-Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and member of the ITI (International Team for Implantology). He has completed all available UK modules of the world renowned Dawson Academy curriculum and completed the Wired Orthodontic ‘Core of Knowledge’, ‘Ortho-Restorative’, ‘Mini Screws’, ‘Integrated Smile Design’ and ‘Lingual Orthodontics’ courses. He lectured at the ‘Digital Discovery Conference’ at the Royal College of Music and Drama in Cardiff in April 2018.

Dentist - Dr Dan Jones BDS (Hons)

Dan completed his A-levels at Ysgol Friars in Bangor, completed a MSc Degree in Biological Electron Microscopy at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and graduated with a BDS (Hons.) degree in Dentistry from University of Newcastle in 2006. After completing his NHS vocational training on Anglesey, Dan worked at a practice in Colwyn Bay for 9 years. Dan is a keen rock climber, hiker and skier. He has summited Mont Blanc and completed the Corsican high route twice. He regularly skis in the French alps and has completed the Cape Wrath Trail. Enjoys all aspects of general dentistry particularly prosthetics, composite restorations and oral surgery. He is also a regular supporter of the North Wales emergency dental service.


Dentist - Dr Carys Harper Lloyd BDS

Carys was born and raised on Anglesey and attended Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern. She graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 1990 and immediately commenced a career in general practice. She completed her vocational training in Caernarfon and has remained in the Anglesey/Gwynedd area for all of her career. She has over 32 years of experience in general practice – twelve of which we spent as a partner and co-owner of a private practice in Bangor which she sold in 2006. She now enjoys working part time.


Dentist - Dr Glesni Llwyd

Originally from Llanuwchllyn, Gwynedd, Glesni qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2011. Following the completion of her foundation training in South Wales she worked at the Cardiff Dental Hospital and for the Community Dental Service. She completed her MFDS qualification in 2014 and returned to North Wales in 2015. She is an Invisalign(R) provider and in May 2019 gained a certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry from the Dominic Hassall Training Institute. In 2022 she gained a diploma in Endodontics. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and outdoor activities.


Dr Catrin Humphreys

Sophie Gordon

Originally from Llanrug, Gwynedd, Sophie completed her dental degree at The University of Sheffield in 2012 before moving to London, where she completed her foundation training at a busy city centre practice in South East London. 

Sophie returned to North Wales in 2014 and completed further training at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd working within the oral and maxillofacial surgery department. She gained experience in oral surgery, complex extractions and emergency treatment of dental and facial traumas. 

Sophie then spent 4 years working within North Wales Community dental service treating special care patients, children and vulnerable adults, and nervous or phobic patients under sedation. Her evenings were spent working within the emergency dental service seeing patients suffering with dental pain or trauma. In 2018, Sophie moved to London where she worked within the Special Care service and private dental practices. 

In 2020, Sophie completed a post-graduate diploma in Conscious Sedation in Dentistry. Sophie is particularly passionate about treating nervous patients and her calming approach to treating is well received. Sophie returned to Gwynedd in 2021 and is pleased to be offering her skills within our practice. Sophie has also completed a post-graduate certificate in Restorative Dentistry in Manchester and has an interest in aesthetic dentistry. Sophie has also over 10 years’ experience of providing facial aesthetic treatments. 

When she is not working, Sophie enjoys running, spending time outdoors and travelling.
