In the days of Google, finding the answers to things is simple, but can also be bewildering due to the vast array of results that are provided. The same is true when you are trying to find the most appropriate dental professional to straighten your teeth.
The purpose of this post is to increase awareness of the ‘Doctor Locator’ functions that are supplied by the brands that straighten teeth. I will use the following example from the Six Month Smiles website which was captured after placing our practices’ postcode into the search for a provider feature.
As can be seen from the above locator, it clearly gives details of providers in a ‘distance from you’ order and has a handy link to their website. Importantly, it also gives a Star Status that is an indicator of the number of cases provided and hence the experience that the provider has, and it shows which seminars that the doctors have attended. L1 seminar is the initial accreditation seminar all doctors attend, and L2 is a second level of seminars providers are invited to once they have completed a certain amount of cases, and provides further education on how best to use the Six Month Smiles system in a fast array of different situations. Finally it also indicates if a doctor is a Mentor and is responsible for training other Six Month Smiles providers, the closest of which is my friend and colleague since University days, Dr Daz Singh of Ollie and Darsh in Liverpool.
